

Mark Hughes is back in football after being handed the Fulham reins on a two-year deal. Many felt the Welshman was shabbily treated at Manchester City and will wish him well in his new role at Craven Cottage. Here, skysports.com looks back at his career as both a player and manager.

1987: After an unhappy time, scoring four goals in 28 games for Barca, Hughes is loaned out to Bayern Munich.
1988: Signs again for Manchester United for £1.8million.
1989: Named PFA Player of the Year.
1991: March: Wins his second PFA Player of the Year Award.
May: Scores twice against Barcelona as United win European Cup Winners' Cup.
